NECA Victoria has appointed James

Keegan to the position of NECA

Victorian chapter executive director.

The appointment became effective 15

February 2016.

Previously, James worked for

Schneider Electric for 25 years in

various senior roles, most recently

as Victorian president of strategy

and solutions. James’ qualifications

include Electrical A Grade (Box Hill),

Marketing (Swinburne University)

and Leadership (Harvard). The

combination of working for Schneider

and his technical qualifications

provide a solid foundation for James

to assist NECA provide members

with an understanding of the future

market space and help position

members to take advantage of

those opportunities.

“The Victorian Council is

particularly excited by the

opportunities that NECA is now

providing members, such as the

new Technical Knowledge Base,

upgraded Safety System, revised

website and the revitalised roadshow

program, and we believe that those

opportunities will be enhanced and

grow under James’ leadership,” NECA

Victoria president John Cutler says.

“The Victorian Council also would

like to take this opportunity to thank

Mike Purnell for taking on the role for

the past seven months. During this

time we have seen NECA change and

grow. This will not be apparent to

the members immediately but over

the next 12 months the additional

services that we will provide I am

sure will be appreciated.

“The introduction of these

initiatives will in the future give

NECA members the competitive

edge we are all looking for. For that

work we say thank you to Mike.”
