Lighting Council Australia will conduct one-day workshops in mid-September in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane covering a range of technical and regulatory issues affecting Australia’s lighting industry.

Topics include compliance requirements for electrical safety, energy efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility. Presentations will be made on recent proposals for regulation of LEDs and commercial lighting from the Australian Government – some of which have far-reaching consequences for the industry.

Lighting Council Australia’s CEO Bryan Douglas said that the workshop provides an excellent opportunity for the lighting industry and its stakeholders to come up to speed with the confusing array of lighting regulations governing the Australian marketplace and to gain an understanding of what’s coming down the track.
