Garland releases GLT-AZB fibre and rodent-proof fibre cables
Garland has released its GLT-AZB fibre and rodent-proof fibre cables for more secure and reliable network infrastructure in projects.
Garland’s GLT-AZB fibre series offers the protection needed for Fibre Optic installations. Designed in Australia, the series has undergone and passed rigorous testing.

The fibre series can be used in ducts or direct burial applications, is suitable for use near power cables and in areas of high lightning-strike rates thanks to its non-metallic design, is available from fibre counts of six up to 144 and complies with TMR Queensland requirement.
Garland’s rodent-proof fibre cable offers numerous benefits such as increased durability, improved reliability, cost savings, better safety and environmental friendliness.
Made with materials such as steel or Kevlar reinforcement, the cable is less likely to be chewed through or damaged by rodents, resulting in a longer lifespan and a reduction of cable failure, which in turn means fewer disruptions in service and less downtime for repairs.
Rodents can pose a safety hazard when they chew through fibre cables, as it can lead to electrical shorts or fires. Using this fibre cable helps to mitigate this risk, ensuring a safer environment for both people and property.
The cables are also designed to be environmentally friendly and reduce the need for harmful rodenticides or traps to control rodent populations. By using rodent-proof fibre cables, the negative impact on the environment is minimised.
