TE designs and manufactures connectivity and sensor products, while Kissling provides high-power relays and ruggedised switches used in a variety of industrial and commercial transportation customers, particularly those facing power management requirements as they design next generation vehicles.

Kissling is headquartered in Wildberg, Germany with sites in Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain and the US.

TE will integrate Kissling’s range of products into its existing hybrid and electric mobility solutions portfolio, strengthening its ability to offer solutions for customers worldwide.

TE Connectivity senior vice president and general manger of the Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit Aaron Stucki says Kissling had an established reputation as an innovation leader in building mission-critical hardware, showcasing a solid track record in the commercial vehicle, transportation and industrial markets.

“Their specialty relays and ruggedised switches and expertise in electronics for smart relays and power distribution, combined with TE’s broad portfolio, global footprint and close customer partnerships, will allow us to strengthen our support for customers in markets around the world,” he says.
