iEM3000Schneider Electric has recently received certification of their iEM3200 and iEM3300 series meters for use in sub-billing environments. All meters used for this purpose now require this certification.

The accreditation, provided by the National Measuring Institute, means the meters are now NMI M 6-1 pattern approved, and have been validated for accuracy in accordance with NITP-14. The iEM3200 series have been classified with an Accuracy Class of 0.5s and the iEM3300 Series have been classified with an Accuracy Class of 1.0.

Each meter supports 1-phase, 2-phase, 3-phase and 3-phase+N wiring connections and is ideal for use with energy reporting, bill validation and cost allocation applications.

The meters support multiple tariffs with peak/off-peak, workday/weekend options, and are available with direct connect up to 125A and external current transformers for DIN–Rail installation.

Available with multiple communication ports, the meters can be used with Modbus RTU, BACnet MS/TP or LON communication protocols. They have programmable digital output, digital input for all consumption data (WAGES) counting, tariff control or external status to energy management system.

The meters are a key component in any energy efficient strategy, and when integrated with any energy management system will gather the information necessary for electrical managers to optimise energy consumption in their buildings and enable energy efficient practices for their tenants.
