Australian lighting integrators mySmart are fourth time finalists in the 2020 KNX Awards for its work at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. The project is one of five finalists in the Africa, Americas and Australia category and the largest KNX project of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

The new hospital in Adelaide’s CBD is the biggest investment in Australia and the largest private hospital in South Australia. As the only 24/7 private emergency department in the state, it boasts the latest equipment, modern facilities and the capabilities to adapt to future advances in technology.

As an open protocol system, a KNX solution is future proof; allowing further integration of building services and technology as required with little disruption. The mySmart KNX solution, which consists of over 3000 parts, integrates the control of lighting, emergency lighting and metering and creates further opportunities for automation and energy savings of up to 60%.

“The Calvary Hospital Adelaide is a great technical solution for a truly modern facility. We are very proud to see the excellent work of our team and the technology provided recognised as world class by this nomination,” mySmart managing director Peter Garrett says.
