Middy’s has partnered with electricianXchange, a platform which helps qualified or apprentice electricians and employers come together, agree on rates, dates and experience without going through a labour hire company or job boards.

Currently only available in Victoria, the platform helps electricians find work whether that’s permanent, sub-contract or casual.

Employees can create an account on the website, listing their preferred electrical work preferences, what qualifications/certifications they have and what areas/suburbs they want to work in, based on a chosen point and a certain kilometre radius.

The platform is completely free for electricians.

From the employers point of view, they can quickly find a sparkie that’s close by and save time and resources in doing so. It includes two reference checks, ensuring all candidates and potential workers are who they say they are and have the appropriate accreditation.
