Lumex Electric and Ideal Industries sign Master License Agreement
Lumex Electric, a division of Scholz Industries, has announced the signing of a Master License Agreement with Ideal Industries. This agreement grants Lumex sales and distribution rights for Ideal Industries Audacy advanced wireless lighting control system within the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Audacy provides wireless control via an iOS or Android mobile phone or tablet app over multi-building lighting systems, while automatically sensing and adjusting to ambient light, movement and room occupancy to maintain desired settings.
It can reduce energy use from lighting by up to 60% for almost any space type, including office, retail, multi-use and institutional buildings. It is equally simple to install in large-scale retrofit and new construction projects and is virtually maintenance free thanks to the patented technology that provides a 25-year battery life guarantee.

“We have been working closely with Lumex Electric on both a product and market level, and we are delighted to be partnering with an organization that understands the Australian and New Zealand lighting control and energy efficiency sectors,” says Ideal Industries Australia chief executive Martin Van Os.
“Audacy’s 928MHz wireless technology makes it incredibly easy for facilities managers and building owners to deploy advanced lighting control solutions that had previously been difficult to implement because of transmission frequency issues. This frequency range truly allows for superior performance in the commercial market space and sets us apart from other wireless options on the market.”
Audacy will now form part of the Lumex Enerspec Auditing platform, providing Australian and New Zealand customers with accurate detail on design, savings and paybacks.
“Lumex has a strong position in the Energy Efficiency sector of the Lighting Market. For four years we have been voted number one Australian LED brand by Connections Magazines. Our strength is the commercial and Industrial sector and Audacy will allow us to provide a complete solution without the complexity, cabling and cost of alternative systems,” says Scholz Industries managing director Erik Scholz.
