IPD has acquired Addelec Power Services, a specialist provider of low and high voltage electrical services to utilities, infrastructure and data centre applications.

“The recent acquisition of Addelec Power Services provides IPD customers with specialist maintenance, warranty and refurbishment services, while fitting into IPD’s culture and future direction of the business,” IPD chief excutive Michael Sainsbury says.

“The acquisition plays a key part for the business to back up the recent addition of ABB products, ensuring our customers can receive a full warranty, service and maintenance offering as well as support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

IPD general manager Chris McPherson says that “this acquisition will enhance what IPD Service currently offers its customers. Addelec is already a highly respected and trusted business by power and water utilities across New South Wales.”

“The business is currently only servicing the New South Wales area; however our aim is to grow this footprint by offering warranty, commissioning, servicing and maintenance, nationally.”
