Invoice2go announces Australian Tradie of the Year winners
Invoice2go has named the winners of its inaugural Australian Tradie of the Year Awards 2020, a nationwide campaign to celebrate inspiration and excellence in the trades industries.
The awards were created to celebrate the people that make up Australia’s diverse trades industries and come at a time, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when good news is very much a welcome distraction.

From carpenters in Queensland and electricians in Tasmania, to cleaners in Victoria and landscape gardeners in Western Australia, Invoice2go was inundated with hundreds of inspiring entries from men and women, young and old across four categories: Male Tradie of the Year, Female Tradie of the Year, Community Tradie of the Year and New to the Trades.
The applications were judged on their commitment to the industry, business acumen, quality of their work and community spirit. The winners were selected by Invoice2go chief financial officer Mark Bartels and former Better Homes and Gardens and Room for Improvement presenter Rob Palmer. The winners are:
- Male Tradie of The Year: Clinton Pearce, Broken Hill Plumbing Services (pictured).
- Female Tradie of the Year: Kerryn Robinson, D&K Enterprizes.
- Community Tradie of the Year: Jacob Pearce, Pearce Technologies.
- New to the Trades: Zakir Mozafari, Rapid Tiling & Waterproofing.
“As a company founded in Australia from a family of tradespeople, the Australian trades industries is part of our heritage,” Mark Bartels says.
“During what is an incredibly challenging and uncertain time for many Australian businesses, we felt it was important to champion them, so they can be proud of the irreplaceable value they add to communities nationwide.
“We were blown away by the quality of the submissions, and selecting four winners from hundreds of entries was an incredibly challenging task. In the end, though, Clinton, Kerryn, Jacob and Zakir really stood out as inspiring individuals and worthy winners of our inaugural competition.”
