JH Market has appointed former Clipsal chief executive Damien Cummins as its chief commercial officer effective 7 December 2020.

Damien has been with Clipsal for over nine years where he held the role of general manager, Asia Pacific before becoming the chief executive for the last four years. From there, he was the executive general manager of Gerard Lighting (GLG) as well as having stints with Vaynco and Bardic Emergency Lighting.

“I’m delighted to welcome Damien to the Executive Leadership Team,” JH Market executive chairman James Wang says.

“His extensive experience, knowledge and connections within the industry, together with his strong alignment to the business model and vision will help us accelerate our growth story.”

Damien says he’s thrilled to join the team: “I strongly believe in the direction of the business and its direct to customer approach and see a lot of potential in use of digital channels to disrupt the traditional brick and mortar wholesale model.”

Damien’s role will include accelerating growth by expanding the product and service offerings of the business, as well as introducing complimentary new sales channels.
