Attednees are asked to have an LCI online learning centre account and to have completed all prerequisite LCI online training available under the Lighting Control 101 and HomeWorks QS tabs.
The first day of training will focus on dimmers, including the basics of dimming, the different types of dimmable lamps, matching the light load with the correct dimmer, and indirectly dimming lamps. There will also be a HomeWorks overview, a look at the system architecture, processor and QS wired link to round off the morning session.
The afternoon session will focus on: RF wireless devices; how to design the BOQ of HWQS; a HWQS system case study and a design with lighting layout; HWQS FAQ and loading the software design of project.
The morning session of day two will largely focus on an assignment asking attendees to use the software to design a HWQS system equipment and link project. This will be followed by looking at HWQS software for starting up the system (connecting and activating) as well as looking at programming keypads, time clocks and sequences, before finally finishing the day by looking at shades, occupancy and HVAC.
On day three, the focus is on the HW Resource site and conditional programming. Most of the day will consist of running various test exercises and completion of a written test. This will be followed by a graduation ceremony.
To attend either of the events, register on the Lutron site and attend the mandatory prerequisite course in advance. When registering, select ‘India and Southeast Asia’ as your region.
