The National Awards for Excellence in Lighting have been deferred until 31 august 2021 according to the Lighting Council of Australia (LCA) in its latest Illuminations newsletter.

The announcement comes following deliberations and the uncertainty of the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and subsequent lockdowns.

“We are pleased to report that the venues, Vince Sorrenti and other entertainers are pleased to accommodate this change without any additional cost,” the newsletter reads.

“We believe this decision is in the interests of our guests, our members and staff and we trust you will support our decision.

“We very much hope you will be able to join us again for what promises to be an exciting night of fine food and wines and first-class entertainment.”

The new proposed date is 31 August 2021 at the same venue with the same programme. The Board meeting and Members’ meeting will also proceed on August 31.
