Thorn LED street lantern
Thorn Lighting has announced the launch of Isaro Pro.

The sleek latern is made from die-cast aluminium and built to withstand the elements along with physical impacts and vibrations.

Isaro Pro has an estimated lifetime of 100,000 hours (at 25 degrees celcius), efficacy of up to 139lm/W and control options like RF wireless.

Due to its robust nature (IP66 rating for ingress protection and IK09 for impact), Isaro Pro is deal for both new and retrofit projects and is powerful enough to handle minor roads, residential areas and car parks with a light output of up to 9500lm.

The latern also has optical flexibility thanks to Thorn’s special R-PEC optic. A choice of 14 light distributions is available for efficient and comfortable light. Whether it’s lighting a residential street, busy road or pedestrian crossing, the R-PEC optic provides clear lighting without the glare.

The installation is also easy for contractors with internal components easily accessed from above without the need for tools. It is available pre-wired and its automatic disconnect function means maintenance is safe with the ability to easily replace components.

“Isaro Pro has it all. It’s great-looking, tough enough to be installed pretty much anywhere, and our unique optics mean it’s highly flexible. We’ve worked hard to achieve the right combination of reliability, efficiency and performance to keep the cost of ownership really low, making it easier than ever to benefit from all the advantages of Thorn’s lighting technology,” says Thorn Lighting global product manager Bertrand Aveline.
