Zaptec has positioned its Zaptec Pro as a smart, scalable EV charging solution designed for larger parking environments, including multi-residential developments, commercial sites and new builds.

The system delivers up to 22kW of charging power, enabling compatible EVs to gain up to 110km of driving range in approximately one hour. Zaptec Pro is engineered to utilise all available electrical capacity within a site, dynamically distributing power across connected charging stations.

The system performs automatic load and phase balancing and can switch dynamically between single-phase and three-phase charging to optimise utilisation. Its proprietary balancing technology enables up to 66% more efficient use of available power compared to conventional charging systems.

Designed with scalability in mind, the infrastructure can be configured to support all parking bays during initial installation. Additional charging units can then be added without requiring upgrades to the main fuse board, reducing future capital expenditure. The system shares a single circuit and power cable, with communication between chargers and the Zaptec Portal cloud platform transmitted via the same cable.

Connectivity is supported by integrated 4G LTE-M, supplied by Telenor, enabling 24/7 online operation and remote software updates without the need for additional network infrastructure.

Each unit includes a built-in power meter to enable accurate energy measurement and fair cost allocation in shared parking environments. Site owners can manage installations, monitor usage, configure settings and deploy updates through the Zaptec Portal platform.

Zaptec Pro supports ISO 15118, enabling future-ready functionality such as Plug & Charge and State-of-Charge communication. The charging system is certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with IEC 61851-1 safety standards.

Manufactured in Norway and backed by a five-year warranty, Zaptec Pro is designed for long-term durability and ongoing software-based performance updates to support evolving EV charging requirements.
