Vibe lighting has launched their 6W & 9W LED Downlight lamps.

Vibe Product Development Manager Stephen Forsyth says: “We have been working hard with our engineers and manufacturers to put forward a quality MR16 LED lamp as an energy saving alternative to the current energy hungry 35W & 50W Halogen MR16 Dichroic lamps that have been used in most homes and businesses across Australia”.

These uniquely designed lamps come in two wattages (6w & 9w) and two colour temperatures (3000K & 4000K). They are very simple to install because they suit most of the popular electronic transformers being used today. We believe that in most cases there is no need to change the transformer which if required can dramatically increase the cost of the installation because of extra components and electricians labour costs, however please check suitability before doing large scale lamp changes.

Vibe’s NEW range of LED Retrofit lamps will put money back into customer’s pockets and make it easy and affordable for the user to lower their power bills and carbon emissions.

They have a high CRI of 85 and a wide beam angle of 36° making them ideal for applications such as:

The 6W lamp works well with Osram REDBACK transformers, as a one to one replacement. However some electronic transformers have a minimum load requirement and may need more than one lamp connected in order for the lamp to work.

The 9W works on most brands of electronic transformer and 12V DC power supplies, including VIBE, VIPER, POSSUM and REDBACK.

The Retrofit LED Downlight lamps contain a Nichia LED chip and come with a 3 year warranty, ensuring you peace of mind.
