S-5!, roofing attachment solutions provider, has announced two free educational webinars later this week. The first is on the dos and don’ts of exposed-fastened metal roofing while the latter is on why metal roofing is the perfect solar platform.

The ‘Exposed-Fastened Metal Roofing Do’s and Don’ts’ webinar will cover the best practices for attaching to metal roofs with an emphasis on exposed-fastened metal roofing. It’ll take place on February 9 at 11:00am to 12:00pm MST.

It discusses why exposed-fastened metal roofs are a perfect platform to attach solar and utility solutions. Attendees will learn how to identify the correct products to use on an exposed-fastened metal roof. In addition, S-5! will review the basics and dive into the do’s and don’ts of metal roofing.

The second one, ‘Why is Metal Roofing the Perfect Solar Platform?’ will take place on February 11 at 1:00pm to 2:00pm MST.

It looks at how a metal roof may be a slightly higher initial investment compared to other roof types, with the premium cost easily recovered over the life of the roof. More specifically, it looks at why this is in relation to mounting PV systems.

In this session, designers, contractors and building owners will learn how to look at the roof and PV system as a single asset with supporting ROIs, which make the selection of a metal roof obvious by the numbers, even from an initial cost standpoint.
