Tridonic releases new LED modules for industrial applications
Tridonic now offers CLE G1 ADV IND and QLE G1 ADV IND modules providing the right LED light sources for diffused lighting.
With a luminous flux of 26,000lm per module and three different colour temperatures of 4,000K, 5,000K and 6,000K, it’s now easier to develop and manufacture LED high-bay luminaires for industrial applications.

Industrial environments put special and heavy demands on lighting systems, and as a result maintenance is often associated with major effort and high costs. Since luminaires are often difficult to access, production is disrupted and machinery has to stand idle.
Long-life components with high light output decreases the number of luminaires required and the maintenance costs in high-ceiling rooms such as warehouses. High quality of light and high illuminance leads to an increase in productivity in production facilities and also helps improve safety and reduce errors.
A good lighting system should reliably operate and provide full luminous intensity within a short time despite low ambient temperatures in cold rooms. For multi-storey car parks, the lighting components need to be energy-efficient, durable and have low maintenance costs.
For these applications Tridonic combines the benefits of the indoor segment with those of outdoor products to create LED solutions with high efficiency, low standby losses and increased dielectric strength for extended temperature ranges.
Suitable for use in wall lights, the round CLE modules provide uniform illumination, while the rectangular QLE modules are suitable for ceiling luminaires. They provide a luminous flux of 26,000lm and were developed for luminaires designed to be installed at ceiling heights of up to 16m. They are based on standard boards so luminaire manufacturers can add them to their portfolios without the cost of developing new optics.
The modules provide a high module efficiency of up to 153lm/W (tp=85°C) and reproducible colour rendering is specified as MacAdam 3.
Luminaire manufacturers will also be offered drivers designed to reduce stress on the LED modules and help them achieve long services lives (thermal load/peak voltage). The LCI 100W–1050mA OTD EC driver with over-temperature and overvoltage protection up to 6kV (between L/N and earth) is suitable for the CLE ADV IND module.
Tridonic also offers an eight year guarantee on the modules that have a nominal life of 100,000 hours.
