TP-Link has introduced the Tapo C645D KIT, a 2K dual-lens pan and tilt security camera system designed to provide wider coverage, intelligent tracking and flexible wireless installation for Australian homes.

The system combines dual 2K 3MP cameras with AI-powered 360° tracking, a 10,000mAh rechargeable battery and an included Tapo solar panel to support continuous charging. The solar-powered setup allows flexible placement without reliance on nearby power outlets, while the high-capacity battery is engineered to maintain performance during extended cloudy or wet weather conditions. Dual-band WiFi support across 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks ensures stable connectivity for both fixed and flexible installations.

The dual-lens configuration pairs a wide-angle lens with a 6mm telephoto lens, both delivering 2K resolution. Together with full pan and tilt functionality, the system can automatically track people, vehicles and pets in real time, reducing blind spots across driveways, gardens and entry points. Users can access dual live streaming through the Tapo app to view both lenses simultaneously, while a built-in two-way audio enables direct communication via the device.

AI detection technology helps distinguish between people, vehicles and pets, reducing unnecessary alerts and focusing notifications on meaningful activity. The synchronised tracking capability maintains visual context as subjects move across larger outdoor spaces.

With an IP65 weather-resistant rating, the Tapo C645D KIT is built to withstand rain, dust and harsh sunlight, supporting reliable year-round operation in Australian conditions.
