Online ticket sales have opened for SPARC International Lighting Event 2013, to be held in Sydney from 4 – 6 June this year.

“SPARC is now the Southern Hemisphere’s leading event for lighting professionals and stakeholders in the built environment, including manufacturers, suppliers and allied professionals,” says SPARC chief executive Bryan Douglas.

“It is a unique opportunity to see, touch and experience cutting-edge lighting technology, attend educational seminars by world leading lighting specialists, and enjoy excellent social networking events.”

Around 3000 people attended the inaugural SPARC 2011. Many of the seminars with high profile speakers were booked out early and the closing Gala Dinner was filled to capacity.

“This year’s event promises to be even more popular. We already have a keen level of interest and lots of enquiries. Some programs have limited numbers, so we encourage people to book early to avoid disappointment,” Bryan says.

A line-up of internationally and nationally renowned experts in lighting design, education, research and architecture will share their insights and experience in the educational seminar program.

SPARC 2013 is for anyone working in design, lighting design, industrial design, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, building and project management, facility management, and major end users of architectural, retail and commercial lighting.

Adding to the experience, SPARC will once again align with Vivid Sydney, the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest annual celebration of light, music and ideas.

SPARC 2013 will be held during Vivid Sydney from 4 – 6 June 2013 at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay in Sydney, Australia.

It begins on Tuesday 4 June 2013 with displays and the Opening Ceremony.

The displays are open throughout Wednesday 5 June, in conjunction with the speaker program.

The speaker program and displays are again open during Thursday 6 June, before the closing Gala Dinner that evening.
