“It’s imperative that we equip students with knowledge and skills to implement smart home technologies and contribute to the evolution of energy-efficient homes and communities. This initiative is a testament to our dedication to fostering an environmentally conscious and technologically savvy workforce, capable of driving meaningful change in our society,” TAFE Queensland educational delivery manager Chris Martyr says.
“We hope to open additional facilities across our campuses to accommodate many more students and electricians looking to upskill in the near future.”
The Smart Room, which has commenced its first intake, offers upskilling opportunities for current electrotechnology apprentices and qualified electricians to elevate their skills to transition traditional homes into interconnected, energy-efficient and secure living spaces.
