Swann expands MaxRanger4K lineup
Swann, a global leader in DIY security solutions, has expanded its award-winning MaxRanger4K range.
Both the MaxRanger4K Wireless Video Doorbell and the MaxRanger4K Mini Long-Range Wireless Security System, build upon the success of the original MaxRanger4K Solar Security System, incorporating the same robust WiFi HaLow connectivity and cutting-edge AI features.

The doorbell combines an ultra-long wireless range with 4K video quality and AI-powered interactivity. Using WiFi HaLow technology, it can be installed up to 300m from its base station in the open air, or 100m through typical building materials, making it ideal for larger properties.
The doorbell comes equipped with SwannShield, its advanced voice assistant that uses adaptive AI to engage visitors naturally in over 100 languages, eight accents and three conversational tones.
Other key features include 4K resolution, two-way audio, infrared night vision (up to 10m) and advanced True Detect+ heat and motion sensors that reduce false alerts. It includes a portable indoor chime with six melodies and stores up to six months of video footage on a 32GB MicroSD card, with options for cloud backups. The unit can run entirely wire-free or be integrated with existing doorbell wiring.
For broader coverage, Swann launched the MaxRanger4K Mini Long-Range Wireless Security System, an entry-level solution with professional-grade capabilities. Featuring the same WiFi HaLow connectivity, the system delivers stable transmission across large properties, including through walls and buildings.
The cameras offer crystal-clear colour footage, spotlight-assisted night vision up to 15m and black-and-white infrared vision in complete darkness up to 20m. True Detect+ technology identifies heat, motion, vehicles and people while built-in microphones and speakers allow real-time two-way communication.
The Mini system arrives with pre-paired cameras for hassle-free installation and supports up to eight cameras. Recordings are stored locally on a 32GB microSD card for up to three months, without subscription fees.
Swann chief executive Alex Talevski says the new products respond directly to the challenges home owners face with traditional 2.4GHz WiFi systems.
“We’re proud to expand our industry-leading lineup with the new MaxRanger4K mini and Doorbell, making powerful, extended-range and stronger-signal protection available to more households and use cases,” he says.
“These products reflect our long-standing technology heritage and showcase our commitment to developing innovative solutions that protect and elevate our customers’ homes and businesses.”
The security system is available to purchase on the Swann website and from retailers such as JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings Warehouse, Harvey Norman and Amazon. The doorbell will be available online and from these retailers from June 2025.
