SolarEdge Home Battery, Energy Hub Inverters available in Australia
SolarEdge Technologies has announced the commercial availability of the SolarEdge Home Battery and SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter in Australia.
The highly efficient DC-coupled SolarEdge Home Battery provides 9.7kWh of battery capacity and can be connected with up to three batteries per inverter, delivering up to 29.1kWh of backup capacity, while offering the ability to synchronize with additional SolarEdge inverters and appliances such as EV chargers.

The SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter models range from 3kW up to 10kW PV power and 10kW backup power, with up to 300% DC oversizing when combined with a battery and depending on the inverter model, to deliver higher energy yield for the home. The SolarEdge Energy Hub Inverter high backup power inverters simplify installations by connecting wirelessly with the SolarEdge Home Battery and a variety of smart energy devices via the SolarEdge Home Network communication protocol.
The SolarEdge Home Battery enables homeowners to increase their energy sufficiency and savings by storing excess solar production for use when needed, day or night. Its highly efficient DC-coupled design requires just one power conversion to store energy, compared to three required with legacy AC-coupled technology. With higher efficiency, more solar power can be used to keep smart devices, including larger loads, running for longer.
In addition to solar energy management, the battery also allows homeowners to use grid power more cost-effectively, by storing energy at times when tariffs are lower to use at peak times when prices increase.
Both the SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter and the SolarEdge Home Battery are controlled from mySolarEdge mobile app, which helps prioritize energy loads based on homeowner preferences regarding savings and/or convenience, and applies smart algorithms that aid economical decision-making.
