A new distributor has been named for REC Group, Europe’s largest brand for photovoltaic (PV) panels. The latest addition is Sol Distribution, an Australian wholesaler focused on the distribution of PV products. The amalgamation of the two suppliers means a greater reach for solar energy installations across the country, for residential and commercial use.

Sol Distribution head of sales for distribution Jon Vlatko says he is encouraged by the union.

“We invest heavily in our supply chain to make certain we can offer our customers a superior solution. REC solar panels deliver on the promises that we and our customers make to the individuals and organisations that commission the PV installation.”
REC also regards the benefits of the companies joining. Head of Asia Pacific John Kim says, “Sol Distribution has a nationwide reach, with warehouse hubs in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. They can ensure that REC solar panels are deployed effectively in more installations nationwide. Take-up of REC’s solar panels such as the new N-Peak Series, the n-type mono solar panel with half-cut cells and a twin design, is likely to be given an effective boost by the distribution agreement.”

Sol Distribution is the newest addition to the REC partner program and is the first addition of 2019. The program aids in building and maintaining alliances with distributors through offering products and tools for profitability. In 2018 training was completed for 73 installers, with a national total of 255.
