simPRO develops new integration with Outlook creating seamless job management
Brisbane-based simPRO has unveiled a new integration which features cloud-based versions of Microsoft Outlook that drastically improve the efficiency of creating new contacts and leads for trade businesses.
The new integration allows simPRO clients to push data straight from Outlook 365 or Exchange to simPRO without repeating data input or closing windows.
“Our integrated app allows Outlook to work cooperatively with simPRO software, allowing our clients to save email attachments, customer details, leads and quotes without leaving Outlook,” says simPRO Software Australia general manager Mark Alfred.

The new feature enables simPRO to automatically detect when a client adds a new email address into their linked Outlook accounts while on a web browser and prompts the client to create a new lead. This allows clients to open up new business opportunities without having to leave Outlook and begin a new process. If an email address matches an existing customer in simPRO, clients have the option to attach the email to a note in their customer card file or a related lead, quote or pending action.
Additional features include automatic field population and the ability to attach notes to email addresses for other simPRO customers.
Mark says these Outlook functions are an asset for anyone who prefers to keep business practices in the one location.
“By integrating simPRO with Outlook, we are saving our customers’ time, creating ease-of-use and enhancing business success.”
Due to cloud incompatibility, IMAP and POP3 versions of Outlook are not currently supported by simPRO’s latest update.
