Signify launches mains-powered DALI sensor to optimise industrial lighting and cut energy use
Signify has introduced a new mains-powered motion and daylight Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) sensor, designed to help industrial sites save energy and gain greater control over lighting.
The sensor integrates with the Signify Interact connected lighting platform and is compatible with luminaire families including Maxos Fusion, GentleSpace and Pacific LED. Users can access the sensor’s data metrics to fully optimise lighting management and operational efficiency.

The DALI sensor covers ceiling heights from 2m to 16m, making it suitable for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics centres and indoor parking areas. It automatically adjusts lighting levels based on daylight availability and uses Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection to control luminaires.
Adjustable sensitivity allows the sensor to suit specific environments and user behaviours, while robust Zigbee wireless communication ensures reliable connectivity over a 50m range. Some sensor variants feature high IP and IK ratings to resist dust, water and impact in demanding industrial environments.
The sensor supports DALI 2 drivers with parts 251, 252 and 253 for energy metrics and up to ten DALI drivers can connect via the integrated 20mA DALI port. Commissioning can be performed using the Interact Pro app via Bluetooth or an IR remote.
