Schneider Electric (SE) has showcased its home energy management solution at CES 2023.

The solution includes a high-efficiency solar inverter, home battery for green energy storage, smart electrical panel, electric vehicle charger and connected sockets and switches – all controlled by the easy-to-use Schneider Home app.

This first-of-its-kind home energy management solution intelligently orchestrates home energy by bringing utility power, solar, backup battery and EV charging together. It offers unparalleled intelligence to homeowners, including the ability to monitor energy consumption by individual appliance, detect and navigate outages and decide where to prioritise power during an outage to extend available backup power.

In contrast to existing solutions which require separate apps and disjointed hardware, Schneider Electric has eliminated the complexity for homeowners by automating energy production, storage, measurement and control. Recognised by CES as a 2023 Innovation Award Honoree, Schneider Home’s sleek styling and integrated approach marks a new age of home energy management solutions.

“Empowered consumers are driving the ‘Prosumer’ era with homeowners now able to produce their own energy and seamlessly switch between power sources to optimise cost and enable resiliency,” SE executive vice president, innovation, Nadege Petit says.

“In this new electric world, individual consumers are in the driver’s seat on their path to net zero. Schneider Home provides them with the tools for a self-sufficient home, reducing their environmental impact, while saving them money on their energy bills.”
