Schneider Electric’s Flair 23DM is a smartly designed fault passage indicator (FPI) and voltage relay which allows remote recording of current, voltage and fault detection in underground networks, in real time. It is suited for use at utilities, airports, universities and wind farms.

The DIN mountable FPI is part of Schneider Electric’s new Flair range and features a Modbus communication port, allowing the FPI to be connected to another device with a master Modbus communication port, for remote recording. It also provides operators with the option to remotely reset parts of the network.

The FPI is flush mounted to Schneider Electric RM6, SM6, Premset, FBX and DVCAS switchgear and can also work with other equipment when the FPI is installed in a wall mountable enclosure with split core CTs.

The voltage relay can also be configured to show voltage presence or absence, using the output from the VPIS-VO voltage sensor for fault confirmation and for Automatic Transfer Schemes (ATS).
