Schneider Electric’s new Rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Firmware 6.x enhances the AP8000 series of rack PDUs by allowing integration with both Cisco EnergyWise & RF Code Zone Manager.

Several new features will give the user greater visibility and control over their IT environment.

• By integrating the AP8000 series of rack PDUs with Cisco EnergyWise, users can monitor, control, and report the energy use of individual IT devices and optimise the energy consumption of the environment.

• RF Code wire-free sensor technology allows the energy monitoring information from the AP8000 series of rack PDUs to be wirelessly transmitted to RF Code Zone Manager, eliminating the administration of IP addresses associated with the rack PDUs.

• Firmware 6.x delivers a fresh user interface which provides easier access to the most useful and important information from your AP8000 rack PDU. Multi-user functionality means up to four users can simultaneously access the user interface, saving time for the users.
