Schneider Electric values its customer’s safety, protection and time which is why Farokh Ghadially, Schneider Electric’s vice president for partner projects and power solutions, believes clients can have peace of mind with this technology.
“PME brings unique new capabilities that make it simpler to protect people and assets, keep operations running, and save time and money… As the untapped potential energy efficiency in industry is over 50% today, this represents massive new possibilities to reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency,” he says.
Some of the newest features the PME displays are; power events analysis: a quick and easy way to uncover hidden trends and correlations to help ensure an optimised network and competitive advantage, breaker performance module: for the detection of a change in protection settings, continuous thermal monitoring: a protection against electrical fires, energy analysis module, multi-site support and cybersecurity.
Power quality issues can cause outages that cost as much as $1 million+ per day, while operations and maintenance costs can represent as much as 80% of the total lifecycle cost over a 50-year period. This is why in large and critical buildings, uptime and reliability is crucial, reliability ensures productivity and operational efficiency and with the EcoStruxure PME, these things should not be an issue.
