Russelectric launches RTSCD-SE service entrance transfer switch for commercial applications
Russelectric has introduced the RTSCD-SE Commercial Duty Service Entrance Transfer Switch, a cost-effective automatic transfer switch designed for commercial applications.
The RTSCD-SE combines automatic power transfer with the disconnecting, grounding and bonding functions required for service entrance equipment, making it suitable for educational campuses, high-rise buildings, industrial plants and manufacturing facilities.

Built to the same reliability and operational standards as Russelectric’s broader transfer switch range, the RTSCD-SE is positioned as a practical option for projects requiring dependable performance at a competitive price point.
The RTSCD-SE features a front-connected design with a user interface panel that includes a keypad with text and icon-based navigation, along with a standard historical event log. It is available in two, three and four-pole configurations, with options for solid or fully rated switched neutral.
The switch supports manual transfer with rapid arc interruption, a permanently attached manual handle and a mechanically held contactor. Contacts are front-accessible to simplify inspection and maintenance.
Like other Russelectric transfer switches, the RTSCD-SE uses preloaded springs and an electrically operated over-centre mechanism to achieve fast, positive switching. This design enables rapid contact opening and closing, providing full arc interruption even under maximum voltage and current, reducing contact wear and extending service life.
The RTSCD-SE is UL 1008 listed up to 480VAC and complies with NFPA 110 and NEC Articles 700, 701 and 702. It is available with UL Type 1 enclosures and meets IBC 2018 and CBC 2019 seismic requirements.
Optional accessories include power monitoring, an auto/load test key switch, load shed relay, auto/manual selector switch, manual transfer pushbuttons and a space heater with thermostat.
