Amplitude has added the Ripley US15 to its store. The US15 is a cable outer sheath cutter and semi-con scoring tool that’s capable of performing slit, ring and spiral cuts on cable diameters from 10mm to 60mm (50mm max for mid span).

Equipped with a hardened steel blade, the tool provides fast, safe and precise jacket removal (both hard and soft insulated cables) and peelable semi-con scoring without damaging the underlying layers.

It’s compatible with large telecom cables, large fibre optic ducts and various other large diameter power cables.

The US15 can quickly adjust to suit hard and soft insulated cables while a blade depth knob adjusts up to 4.5mm in increments of 0.05mm and features a convenient inch or metric scale for guaranteed precision.
