Recall of Eaton Quicklag ELQ-TW earth leakage circuit breaker (RCBO)
A range of Eaton Quicklag ELQ-TW earth leakage circuit breakers have been recalled by the suppliers because of a risk of electrical fire.
The affected models were supplied nationally from 1 April 2004 until 15 December 2016, which can be determined by checking the serial number on the side. These models can also be identified by a green text button as shown in the above image, and are listed in the table below.
Models that do not have a test button or that have a white or orange test button are not impacted by this recall.

A non-compliant material has been used in the manufacture of a component, which means when operating under short circuit conditions the RCBO may put out ionised gases through the exhaust port, leading to a fire.
Building owners, managers and electrical contractors are urged to check switchboards or load centres for potentially affected RCBOs.
If a recalled RCBO model is found installed in a customer’s premises you should notify the customer about the recall and have them contact the supplier to arrange a replacement RCBO to be installed.
