Phoenix Contact device circuit breakers attain Germanischer Lloyd approval

All device circuit breakers from the circuit breaker product range from Phoenix Contact have now been certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL).

Circuit breakers are used wherever precise protection against overload and short circuit is needed for loads.

GL approval is required in an increasing number of sectors. This involves testing in special environmental conditions, such as shock and vibration or salt spray tests.

The device circuit breakers have passed all the tests and have therefore been granted approval. They can now be used in shipbuilding and in maritime systems, both onshore and offshore, as well as in all other areas which require GL certification.
