Philips Lighting announces launch of Amazon Alexa skill for Philips Hue connected lighting system
Philips Lighting has announced that the functionality of its Amazon Alexa skill for controlling its Philips Hue connected lighting system is now available for Australian customers. Alexa skills are voice-driven capabilities that enhance the functionality of Alexa devices.
This means Philips Hue users in Australia will now be able to dim and turn their lights on and off with Alexa voice control. The new launch also brings increased functionalities, including the ability to set light scenes and recipes by voice command.
The increased functionality provided by the Alexa skill follows the recent launch of an expansion in the Philips Hue range, the Philips Lighting’s Hue white ambience. The wellbeing-focused light ensures the perfect light for every moment throughout the day.
