Panasonic Australia has announced that its stylish, energy saving Panasonic ECONAVI Air Conditioner, the CS/CU-E12MKR, has received a 2012 Good Design mark as recognition for its design.

To qualify for this achievement, a product or service must satisfy the following five criteria for good design in the expert opinion of the Design Awards judging panel: form, function, quality, safety and sustainability.

Panasonic Australia air conditioning product marketing manager Shane Quinn says, “Panasonic is thrilled to receive such outstanding recognition from this year’s reputable Design Awards for its ECONAVI CS/CU-E12MKR Air Conditioner.

“Design is a key factor that consumers evaluate when selecting which air conditioner to purchase. As such, the Good Design achievement reinforces our commitment to offering consumers with products that are not only feature-rich but that are now recognised for their form, function, quality, safety and sustainability – making them the perfect complement for any modern Australian home.”

The Design Awards black tie Presentation Ceremony took place last Friday 20 July 2012 at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, in Sydney’s CBD. The event was hosted by Lee Lin Chin, Presenter of World News Australia and Designer People, SBS TV. Guests of Honour include His Excellency Michael Bryce AM AE and the Hon Barry O’Farrell MP, Premier of NSW.

The Panasonic Inverter Air Conditioning range features the new ECONAVI sensor which uses smart technology – area search, absence detection and low activity detection – to moderate the temperature according to room usage, and deliver up to a 30% energy saving while cooling and up to 40% while heating.

In addition to ECONAVI, Panasonic’s Inverter system makes constant adjustments to provide optimum performance at all times. This extremely precise operation enables quick cooling when needed while reducing power consumption compared to conventional non-Inverter units.
