NHP delivers its latest COB LED lighting solutions

NHP has delivered its latest in its chip on board (COB) LED lighting solutions, exploiting the advantages of COB.

COB LED technology allows the number of LEDs placed in any given area of a display to be far higher than other LED packaging approaches. This creates a higher intensity of light density to be emitted from a smaller area than what is possible from single surface mount LEDs used by the rest of the market.

Integrating the technology into the Stanilite Spitfire range, COB LED technology has enabled key features and benefits, including offering uniform light distribution, minimising glare and enhancing visual comfort, fewer welding points and direct chip mounting contributing to lower failure rates and significantly increased lumen output per square inch.

COB LEDs have improved NHP’s emergency exit lighting range. The ceramic/aluminium substrate acts as an efficient heat transfer medium when coupled with an external heatsink and using a single circuit with minimal components, COB LEDs reduce heat generation.
