The NECA Education & Careers Excellence Awards was held for the 20th year, this time at Crown Melbourne. It saw finalists across education, training, employment, apprentices and trainees, the electrical industry and beyond shine.

The winners were:

  • Pre-Apprentice of the Year – Lewis Fraser
    Finalists: Martin Younan, Matthew Morros, Ish Gill and Matthew Selar
  • 1st Year Student Apprentice of the Year – Mitchell Allen
    Finalists: Lachlan Hunter, Angus Maynard and Chris Petroulis
  • 2nd Year Student Apprentice of the Year – Nellie Baker
    Finalists: Paul Gilbert, Ben Viner, Simon Barr, Georgia Anderson, Joshua Gervasoni
  • Kevin Stevens Excellence Award for Academic Achievement – Nathan Alickolli
    Finalists: Jack Kerr, Sandeep Roy, George Kaddissi
  • Trainee of the Year – Emily Brown
    Finalists: Nicholas Costa and Daniela Feldman
  • Industrial Apprentice of the Year (Tasmania) – Marek Porter
  • Commercial Apprentice of the Year (Tasmania) – Alex Findlater
  • Junior Apprentice of the Year – Emily Cruickshank
    Finalists: William Del Mar, Riannah Virgin, Alex Serratore, Alastair Christy, Nathan Coote, Jarryd Pollard and Vincent Fouquet
  • Senior Apprentice of the Year – Taylor Palmer
    Finalists: Matthew Spithoven, Joe McIntosh and Chris Nabbout
  • Trainee Host Employer of the Year – Asta Solutions
  • Electrical Host Employer of the Year (Small) – Tech Smart Systems
  • Electrical Host Employer of the Year (Medium) – Lanec Services
  • Electrical Host employer of the Year (Large) – Fredon Industries
  • Teacher of the Year – Nick Oakes
