LG Electronics to enter residential energy storage solution market, announces home battery
LG Electronics Australia has announced it will enter the residential energy storage solution (ESS) market with the unveiling of its first home battery at the All-Energy Expo at Melbourne’s Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The new ESS battery and inverter, expected to be available to the Australian market from Q2 2019, joins the expanding LG portfolio of residential energy solutions. The new ESS includes an LG 3 Phase Hybrid inverter.

“Delivering high-quality energy solutions for homeowners is a top priority for us,” LG Electronics Australia general manager of solar & energy Markus Lambert says.
“The addition of the ESS to our energy portfolio will enable us to support Australian homeowners with a 3 phase electric power and their demand for greater control over their residential energy consumption.”
LG further announced its 2019 NeON R and NeON 2 premium solar panels will receive a 5W boost to their efficiency. They will also introduce 370W & 380W made to order panels as well as new 400W 72 cell panels while maintaining its 25 year warranty.
“Residential dwellings are constantly evolving, just like homeowners’ energy needs,” Markus says.
“These higher efficiency panels will benefit homeowners with limited roof space, as well as those looking to deploy energy-intense technologies, like electric vehicle charging stations.”
