The newest release of the Electrical Industry Guide to Workplace Safety is here. In collaboration with the National Electrical & Communications Association (NECA), Pro-Visual Publishing has released this valuable resource guide into the electrical industry.

With a focus on the harmonisation of safety laws and regulations, this guide aims to provide electrical contractors and workers with an easy to read reference to health and safety guidelines.

For all involved in the workplace, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is everyone’s responsibility. From PCBU’s and officers to workers, how to identify safety hazards, whether a safety observer is required, and the general codes of practice are required to maintain safe work practices. What is required of each member within the workforce is mentioned in an easy-to-read manner. It is important for each worker to be aware of their duties and responsibilities when it comes to reporting an incident and notifying the Regulator of the required field.

Risk assessment and how a company controls its operations, depends upon the workers themselves and whether or not they are aware of the correct safety procedures. This guide aims to highlight the key steps in risk assessment and control through the use of a myriad of tables and flow charts. This breaks down the processes required to ensure safe procedures are in place for dealing with incidents around the workplace.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors of the Electrical Industry Guide to Workplace Safety. Their support has made it possible for the guide to be distributed free of charge,” says Pro-Visual Publishing chief executive John Hutchings.

“It is important to ensure that all employees get home to their families the same way they left them.”

Recipients of the guide are also provided with the opportunity to enter a competition in where the best entry wins $5,000 (See terms and conditions). Additional copies are available upon request.
