Kennards Hire expands Specialist Solutions offering

Kennards Hire has expanded its Specialist Solutions capability to better support major infrastructure and complex projects across Australia and New Zealand. The enhanced service provides end-to-end solutions, combining equipment, specialist expertise and project support from planning through to delivery.

Kennards Hire has integrated turnkey solutions spanning water management, temporary fencing, site mobilisation compounds and power and renewable products and services. The model is designed to reduce the inefficiencies often associated with coordinating multiple suppliers on large-scale projects.

“We’ve been supporting major infrastructure projects for many years and what’s exciting is how we’re continuing to expand and evolve. Project leads don’t want to be dealing with multiple suppliers and are recognising the benefits of having everything at their disposal under one reliable organisation,” Kennards Hire general manager – fleet David Schurman says.

The expansion responds to growing frustration around misaligned timelines, compliance risks and the complexity of managing multiple contractors. Under the Specialist Solutions model, Kennards Hire consolidates specialist equipment, compliance oversight, installation and project management into a single integrated offering.

Findings from the fourth annual Kennards Hire Construction Confidence Check, released in 2025, indicate that one in three projects are affected by inefficiencies such as managing multiple suppliers, limited project expertise and outdated equipment.

Key benefits of the expanded capability include early involvement at tender and planning stages, installation and verification services to maintain safety and compliance and mobile expert teams with national reach to ensure consistent service across varied project environments.

The Specialist Solutions expansion is already supporting major developments including the Sydney Fish Markets redevelopment, the Throsby Creek Footbridge in Newcastle, Dunedin Hospital in New Zealand and Adelaide’s North-South Corridor T2D project, the largest Specialist Solutions project undertaken by the company to date.
