Kaman Precision Products identifies availability of displacement sensors
Kaman Precision Products has identified the availability of high-precision displacement sensors for extreme weather conditions.
Originally developed for NASA and the nuclear power industry, these sensors deliver non-contact measurement of conductive surface motion with exceptional accuracy and reliability, even in the harshest environments.

Kaman’s sensors feature hermetically sealed, laser-welded Inconel housings and metal-jacketed, mineral-insulated cables, ensuring durability against extreme temperature, pressure, vibration and environmental contaminants.
Three displacement measurement systems are available, each designed for high-temperature operation: the KD-1925 withstands pressures up to 5,000 psi, while the KD-1950 and KD-1975 handle pressures up to 3,500 psi. The sensors can operate in temperatures from -160°C to 537°C.
The sensors operate with KDM-8206 signal conditioning electronics, designed for versatility. Single-channel systems are offered in either NEMA enclosures or bench-top/rack-mountable Eurocards.
The NEMA enclosure includes an internal power supply, digital panel meter and window kit, while the rack-mountable KDM-8206 can support up to twelve measurement channels.
