Heat, light and ventilation can often be at the bottom of the list when it comes to creating a practical and comfortable environment for laundry day. Damp clothes, dryers filling the room with humid air and even a lack of windows can all mean this vital engine room of the home often suffers. But the solution is close at hand.

Geelong-based company IXL develops heating, illumination and ventilation products suited to a myriad of environments and room sizes.
IXL’s Ventair 250 exhaust or the Tastic Silhouette 3-in-1 can combat air humidity from appliances like dryers to keep a room ventilated and free from damp odours. The Ventair has a super-charged fan with an exhaust capacity of 511 m3/h, while the Classic Tastic includes a heat lamp with 4 x 375 watt globes and a powerful exhaust capacity of 407 m3/h. The heat lamps create the perfect level of comfort and light, ensuring the laundry tasks are completed without discomfort.

For laundries that are dryer-free and therefore less prone to trapped humid air, the Tastic Neo Vent n Lite Module is a perfect solution, with a 170mm fan and an exhaust capacity of 360 m3/h. Another alternative is IXL’s Eco Sensation. This combined 3-in-1 brings 4 x 275 watt heat lamps together with a 200mm fan, with a powerful extraction of 348 m3/h.

If unsure how to best meet laundry ventilation needs, IXL offers a ‘Help me Choose’ online tool to remove the guess work. Simply calculate your extraction requirements in two easy steps on the IXL website – first, choose the type of room, such as a laundry with a dryer or a laundry without a dryer, then add the room’s dimensions to see which appliance will meet your requirements.
