As at the end of February 2014, all Tastic Neo units will be supplied with three 7W LED lights as the new standard.

Tastic Neos have the ability to retrofit the LEDs in place of the CFL bulbs to reap a raft of superior performance benefits. This can be done either immediately or when the CFLs are at the end of their life.

IXL have been have been operating since 1858 in Geelong, where they designed, engineered and manufactured the Tastic Neo. The upgrade from CFL to LED lighting is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to investment into research of consumer requirements and new technologies.

Purpose built. The IXL Tastic Neo energy-saving LED globe has been specifically developed to fit the Tastic Neo.

Water tight. The Tastic Neo LED is fully sealed – a feature that prevents moisture from steam – damaging lamp electronics. Great for wet/steamy areas like bathrooms.

LEDs use 30-50% less energy than a comparable CFL and 80-90% less energy than a comparable halogen light.

Unlike CFLs, LEDs are not impacted by the power surge, which can occur when lights areturned on and off repeatedly.
