IPD Group has announced the acquisition of Bendigo-based Central Test, which is a NATA accredited high voltage testing and calibration business.

Central Test has been operating since 2004 and its customers include Victorian power utilities and industrial, mining and vegetation management companies. Its laboratory in Bendigo, Victoria and mobile testing and calibration units offer testing of elevated work platforms, class rated PPE, operating sticks, earth cable sets and calibration of a wide range of electrical instruments. These include multi-metres, clamp-metres, power quality loggers and analysers, insulation resistance testers and voltage detectors.

IPD Group, which is 100% Australian owned, says the Central Test acquisition will complement the Tasmanian Hivotech business owned by the Group and increase the company’s capabilities in product and services to its customer base.
