Inverter standards open for public comment after major revision process

The inverter standards, AS/NZS 4777.1:2022 and AS/NZS 4777.2:2020 Amd 2:2023, are open for public comment after a recent revision process.

These standards govern the requirements for grid-connected inverters and have major implications on the Australian and New Zealand solar industries as well as play a key role in enabling vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities.

The latest revision has considered input from many organisations with a specific view to enabling V2G inverters and their installation to be supported across Australia.

The governing bodies are calling for public comment and input from any businesses that might involve V2G products, solutions or installations in the next three to five years.

Once this standard is published, the Clean Energy Council (CEC) will look to update their inverter listing categories document accordingly.
