Intelligent UPS – new quick start guide makes it easy
After installation, the software displays the UPS system, which consists of a power supply, an electronic switching unit, and a power storage device. For example, the text “Lead-acid battery, 12 Ah” appears below the power storage device symbol. In addition, the input and output component voltages and the LED status are indicated on the front of the devices. The intelligent battery management also shows the current charging state, the remaining runtime, and the remaining life expectancy of the power storage device.
When a power failure occurs, the special PC mode ensures that the power storage device continues to supply power to PCs as long as possible. PCs are shut down in a controlled manner before the battery voltage drops. The quick start guide provides information about the adjustable time parameters in the UPS-CONF software for optimizing the PC mode for the system.

The IQ technology now brings intelligence to control cabinet UPS units. The QUINT UPS-IQ unit provides all relevant information about the power storage device, including the remaining runtime, charging state, remaining life expectancy, and performance. The intelligent battery management constantly monitors the current charging state of the connected battery and calculates the remaining available runtime. It thus provides the required transparency to ensure the reliability of the UPS at all times, while making the best use of the battery. QUINT UPS-IQ units with output currents of 5, 10, 20, and 40 A are available for 24 V applications. The QUINT UPS-IQ handles AC applications in the range from 85 to 264 V AC with an output power of 500 VA.
