HPM Legrand moves forward with new CEO
Joining the Australian business after more than 20 years with the Legrand Group, Tony Berland brings a wealth of strategy, sales and marketing experience to the position.
Departing CEO Giuseppe Parola has been responsible for overseeing the HPM Legrand merger, reorganisation of the business and relocation of the head office. He is returning to his home town in Italy to run one of the group’s largest manufacturing facilities.

Moving from Singapore, where he was general manager for South East Asia since 2009, Tony Berland says the business is now in a strong position to go to the market with greater visibility, new products and improved services.
“Over the last few years HPM Legrand has been focused on strengthening its product line-up, staffing and service capabilities,” said Tony Berland. “We are using the heritage of HPM as a strong and highly regarded local brand, and the expertise of Legrand as an international brand, to move forward.
“Australia has a very structured electrical industry. There is solid workforce training in place as well as a high level of knowledge and experience.
“The Australian market is also moving away from stand alone products to the promotion of full systems. We are adapting our offers and the business to accommodate these trends. We have to provide our customers with new tools and services including training, software, information on line and we will be working with all our partners to achieve this.”
