AFC announces the release of the Fujikura FSM-21S, which professes to be the smallest and lights active v-groove alignment fusion splicer in the world.

[gallery_images_placeholder]This week, AFC announced the release of the Fujikura FSM-21S, which professes to be the smallest and lights active v-groove alignment fusion splicer in the world.  

Fujikura already have an extensive line-up of fusion splicers; the FSM-21S bridges the gap between fixed v-groove and core alignment technologies with its active v-groove alignment technology. This new technology thus delivers a cost-effective fusion splicer suit to advanced FTTx and LAN applications.

Michael Scarano, Senior Product Manager at AFC, says “The introduction of 21S provides the market with true flexibility and choice backed by Fujikura’s world renowned benchmark performance. Its lightweight and compact design along with an enhanced long life battery, provides technicians with 200 splice and heat cycles, providing ultimate portability for field use.”
