Fox ESS has partnered with Origin to integrate its home energy storage systems with Origin Loop VPP, enabling eligible Australian households to connect their batteries to the virtual power plant and earn energy bill credits.

Origin Loop VPP uses smart automation to connect and manage distributed home energy devices, allowing customers to support grid stability while maximising the value of their solar and battery systems. Through the partnership, Fox ESS customers can access Origin’s range of home battery plans, including options with automated exports and feed-in tariffs.

“We’re delighted to be working with the team at Fox ESS. Their batteries have quickly become a popular choice in the Australian market, and this integration reflects our commitment to provide more options for our customers to get the best value,” Origin general manager of electrify and new connections Chris Zondanos says.

The partnership follows the launch of Fox ESS’s CQ6 high-voltage battery, which features higher energy density and a modular design to help home owners maximise rebate opportunities and energy savings.

“Origin VPP represents a transformative step in the Australian energy landscape, combining versatility with a strong focus on customer needs. Its integration of weather intelligence, market insights and real-time energy optimisation aligns perfectly with Fox ESS’s high-performance storage systems,” Fox ESS APAC managing director Brooks Richard says.

“Together, we are not only enabling Australian households to maximise the value of their solar and battery investments but also fostering a more resilient and sustainable energy future.”
